I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

Thanks! I'm planning to check out Lowe's today but I may look online as well. Guess I'll save the 1 1/2" screws for my projects with 1x's
Hello DR and welcome to KJOC!
I saw your chat message and yes, you have to set the drill guide and the drill bit to 1 1/2" and use 2 1/2" screws for a good strong joint.
My HD has never carried anything Kreg-wise. I usually got my screws at Lowe's, but those were limited to 50 or 100 count boxes. So I started ordering screws from Amazon in 1000 count boxes for 1 1/4" and 2000 count for 2 1/2". You do save money when buying in bulk and if you planning to build projects using 2x4's then this will be a really good buy. I use the 1 1/4" a lot for 1x projects.
