New deck design. 12x20. Trimmed in ''cedar''. Deck lighting---stairs and posts. Privacy lattice surround---allows for under-deck airflow, to keep goods dry.
Ballasters are black painted alum tubing. Double-door entry on front and single door entry on back-side. GFI electrical supply to under-deck. Motion lights turn-on when door(s) are opened---lighting the area, when under low-light or night conditions. Under-deck facilitates storage for yard tools, yard machines & tools, supplies/materials & lumber. Under-deck drain system feature that carries rain water drippage, from between the deck boards above, and directs the drainage on to panels that direct the water to troughs and downspouts.

The foundation and framing structure is designed and built, to support a fully enclosed upper level,
if and when I decide to add an enclosed unit with a roof, over the deck.
The exposed 6x6 upper post members are tenoned, that fit into sockets and bolted in place---
remove the face trim, unbolt the posts, lift them out, replace with longer 6x6 posts, add framing, roof and enclose.
Thanks gents, for your replies.
