Seems to be awfully quiet about Kreg's Adaptive Cutting System

The last posting here on the ACS was back on March 10th.  Has no one had the time to use it yet and give us your opinion? Would love the hear some feedback and if you know of any good online reviews (pro and con) please post them as I'm really interested in people's first hand knowledge of the thing.  There isn't much outside of Kreg's in-house videos on it so far (which are very good). Here's one I stumbled across today that seems well done. He uses the ACS to make a TV Stand.

It's back ordered at Woodcraft.  I have not been able to find many reviews on this either. I am wondering how sturdy the table is. I would like to use it lights for bench work as well.

Well, I bought one at Woodcraft in Cleveland this past weekend and although I don't have it completely together yet, I WILL say that the table is very very solid and strong in my opinion. Very well put together.

I was very excited to hear about the Kreg Adaptive Cutting System a few months back. I was wanting something like to as I don't have a table saw in my tiny shop. I didn't want to spend the huge price tag on the competitor's, and so I had plans to build something, then Kreg came along and saved me the hassle, with great features.

Besides the Kreg Videos and the You Tube Video of Chris Salomone's mentioned below there are two others:

As for my Kreg ACS I've been using it for almost a Month. I cut out 20 + Baltic Birch 23" x 4" and 7 1/4" x 4" for a project, and I broke down several sheets, and I used it to create huge 4 Foot, 3/4" thick Circle for a sign.

It's easy to set up and take down in my shop

The Saw does a decent job creating splinter free cuts, but I have to work with the speed of the cut so there is no burning

It allows for repeatable and accurate cuts, small to large

I love that the blade is not sticking up in front of me like a table saw

It's been a pleasure to use and well worth the Investment for me.

I'd recommend it and I hope the exposure grows online and many take advantage of it

I am very interested in one - however as they are not available anywhere in Oz [Australia] - I find that I can't make any constructive comments - only a query - When are they coming here????

Been using the ACS for about a year now. Overall pleased with the saw and system: great portability, fits my very limited workspace, provides clean cuts, zero clearance insert in the shroud which allows for splinter free off-cuts (the main reason I didnt get the makita system), ease of cutting to a specific dimension, and repeatability. Main issue so far: I have found the CNC alignment of the dog holes on both of my ACS table tops is a bit off. Using  three dog stops across the length of the table top, aligning the back of the track against the dogs, I find one dog consistently about 1/32 off. Likewise, using my TSO triangle, and 4 dog stops to test right angle alignment, I find similar misalignment of some of the holes. I have two project tables and both show similar slop. Not sure what is acceptable CNC accuracy, but expected near perfection. I found I can't just use any two dogs to align stock perfectly for cross cuts, when the track is aligned per instructions using the two front alignment dog holes. So, I just pick the two dog holes that are convenient for the cut I'm going to make, and then align the track to those holes using a precision triangle.  Tool free, and easy to do, but it is an extra step. Any time you use the dog stops in different holes, just check/re-align the track using your triangle.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
