Good day folks. Thanks for the entry to this forum. My name is Noah and I live in Northwest Montana. My wood working experience is basic, I do a lot better at the framing portion than the finishing if that makes sense. I appreciate the tools and plans that Kreg offers, it certainly makes life easier.

Hello All, my name is Jonathan Marshall from Maryland.  My only experience with woodworking was a 125’ run of shadow-box fence with gate that I had built this past summer; enjoyed it very much.  People constantly compliment the craftsmanship and will often ask for the contractor that constructed it.  When I tell them it was me, they’re shocked.  I too, am shocked how well it came out.  Always wanted to build furniture, so now, with Kreg tools in hand, looking forward to starting my new hobby.  Just need time and space.  As for why I joined the community, looking for suggestions, tips and tricks from others willing to share.  Have to admit, I also just like to see others completed projects / works of art!

Hello group. My name is Janet, live in South Carolina, and I am at the beginner level. I received a Kreg jig and a few other Kreg products for Christmas and a new table saw for my 60th birthday 3 days later. The way I'm gaining experience is to build shop items with the help of YouTube. My car now sits outside instead of in the garage and I'm enjoying learning. I have a new appreciation for the everyday things and how they are made.

Hello, My name is Matt and I live in Wood-Ridge, NJ. I am an extreme novice when it comes to woodworking, but after my wife bought me a Kregjig, I took it on as more of a hobby. I am looking to gain a little more insight and get some project ideas and look forward to your insight.

Hi folks

Earl here from Hinesville Georgia. I think of myself as an intermediate hobbiest. Bought a k4 jig and made a good old fashioned screen door for the front of the house. I'll try and post photos when I get them off my phone. I don't have much of an imagination, but I sure can follow plans. I've always been a fan of Norm from this old house. Now that I'm older and not running the streets I figure I'll stay home and start some projects.
Didn't even know this site existed! Weekend warrior/intermediate diy'er and excited to learn from everyone here. I have a lot of ?'s!

Hi Everyone, my name is Bruce and I live in the Boise, Idaho area. I enjoy, woodworking and gardening.  Last spring I built several raised beds in the garden and last Fall built a 10 X 12 storage shed from scratch.  When we bought our current place about 5 years ago, I turned most of my 3 car garage into a wood shop and using the Kreg pocket hole jig, I built a 22 ft. long work bench with my chop saw in the middle and 4 banks of drawers, 3 high on either side. 24 drawers total.  Last November, I purchased 2 of the Kreg Mobile project centers but am still waiting for them to ship.  Think they will work nicer than the 2 collapsible saw horses that I built years ago.  They hold 3 10 ft 2 X 4 and give me a large cutting work surface but are very awkward to set up and to store.

I work in the computer industry but love to be out in my shop or garden.

What brought me to this community board was the Miter Saw Dust Hood.  That's something I really need to put around my saw.

They suggested I upload a picture or 2 of a project I did.  My son-in-law is a TMJ doctor and I built him 3 cabinets for 3 of his patient rooms where they used a laptop.  This is a picture of one of them installed.

Hi everyone, amateur woodworker here from Liverpool on the other side of the pond.

Been making saw dust for a couple of years now, starting with cheap tools etc. But the more i got into woodworking, the more i got mad about sh*t joints and untrue cuts because of poor tools. Started to buy proper tools, Dewalt, Makita and now Kreg etc, and voila, perfect joints and no stress lol.

Really looking forwards to learning from you all.

Cheers guys 'n' gals,

Nick. Y.N.W.A. :)

Hi Nick,

So true about good tools.  I have always been of that opinion that I'd rather wait and save for the right tool than jump into a cheap one that doesn't do the job.  The cheap one almost always becomes a waste of money.

Kreg and Incra are my 2 favorite brands for addons and jigs. My chop saw and scroll saw are DeWalt and have served me well.

Have fun in the shop!

Hi all, Steve in Roanoke Va. I have been doing amateur woodworking for 40 years, starting in shop class in Jr. High school. Mainly just basic hand tool type things.

The past couple of years I have been adding more tools to my collection to start tackling more intricate projects, (without having to wait for friends to come over and bring their tools or loan them too me :) ).

New additions are table saw, miter saw, router table and newest is the Kreg tool.

Just used the Kreg tool the 1st time. Wish I would've had it countless times in the past!

Hi!

My name is Dave, and I'm from New Wilmington, PA which is about midway between Pittsburgh and Erie. My woodworking experience ranges from restoration to building new, mostly furniture, but have also redone 4 houses over the years. We currently own a 117 year old home that needs some work and furniture that fits the house both in size and style. I'm looking forward to seeing projects and ideas from other members, along with tips and guides. My younger son had the privilege of taking wood shop class over the past two years of high school, and we're planning some projects together. Thanks for welcoming me to the Kreg Owner's Community.

Hi after borrowing a friend's jig I went out and got my own. I am building with lumber from trees we had cut down to install solar. I live in RI.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
