Hi everyone. My name is Dan and I live in the Tampa Bay Area. I have enjoyed the hobby of woodworking on and off for many years when time away from my full time job allows. My early findings are that the Kreg jig will certainly allow me to make the best of my woodworking time and with great looking results. I look forward to learning from this forum.

Hi, my name is Gordon Null. I have dabbled in woodworking since I was 8 or 9 yrs old. Majored in Industrial Arts in collage. Thought I wanted to be a shop teacher, but never graduated. I have a 20ft x 20ft shop, built it too small, but it's bigger than some I've seen on U Tube. Just got a K5 Jig, really like it. using it to assemble the new bench. Looking forward to using on many more projects, and hoping to get some ideas for some projects on this web site. I live in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, on the West edge of Tulsa.

Hello, My name is Bob from the Grand Rapids Michigan area. I have been mainly done home remodeling in the past but am currently in the process of putting together my home workshop to give a stab at furniture making. I purchased the kreg jig system a couple of years ago and am finally putting it through the paces. Look forward to seeing what the system can do.

Hello, I'm Sandy originally from Scotland retired to France. Just joined and am totally new to this game, I have started with the Kreg junior. First run on old wood just as well set up the machine as stated for one and a half inch wood. It shows to use 2.5 screws but these came out by about a quarter. In the drill set up it appears the 1.25 and 1.5 marks are the same, am I correct. Adjusted out as far as possible, same result. Would I be better to use 2 inch screws?
Hello to all and happy holidays! My name is Carlos D. Rodriguez from Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico. I am a beginner wood worker which recently got to know the Kreg Joinery System. Hope that i can be of any help to you all as well as to learn from others that comes before me.

Hi guys, Noeneel here from sunny Queensland, Australia. I’m a total newbie when it comes to building with wood. I’ve joined this group as I recently bought a Kreg K4 jig which I’m told will make things a little easier for me. At the moment the only tools I have is a small Dremel, a really bad Ozito mitre saw and a Ryobi One Plus cordless drill. No other tools so at times building things gets a little challenging.

I did however manage to make a very simple lego table (below) for my boys, and subsequently an additional table (back of image). I have the following projects I want to tackle at some stage:

  • New lego table – bigger and also building in some sort of display shelving?
  • Walk-in wardrobe
  • Garage storage
  • Fish tank cabinet

Hi, I'm Mike and I live in Baton Rouge, LA. I've been a woodworking hobbyist most of my life. I design most of what I build and wanted to join this Community to get inspiration from other folks like myself. I am very impressed by some of the projects that people have posted and have already gotten a few ideas. I'm looking forward to learning from you all. Cheers!

Welcome Noeneel,

From looking at the photos you posted you are going to enjoy your woodworking and the kreg Jig!!

A most impressive collection of Lego too! reminds me of when I had kids the same age and build wooden bins for everything.

P.S. There is nothing wrong with Ozito tools!!!.... I have two saws and a "dremel" all Ozito, I give them all a real hammering at times and they work fine, only yesterday a mitre saw fell off the bench and with a couple of minor adjustments all was well and we built some 100mm x 100mm fence posts from rough sawn stock!!

Using a kreg Jig is a great way to make a fish tank stand, look forward to seeing it.

Regards

Robert.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
