Just wanted too ask if anyone come across a solution for removing wood glue? I am sure I saw a post by jay saying about a mix of white vinegar and water ,to clean up when putting pieces together .If that is the case what proportions of glue to vinegar anyone put me right on this one ? Upto now been using a damp rag but I am sure there is a more effective chemical solution . Go steady all.

Howdy Michael. I don't really know of any good chemical solution, but I always find that a sharp chisel takes care of any squeeze out issue I come across. Another idea I like is to use Frog Tape to catch the squeeze out and easily remove it. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Thanks troy.
Don't wipe it with a wet rag -- you'll just spread it around and give it more water with which to seep into the wood, making it harder to get a nice finish. If you get squeeze out, grab some sawdust and use it to soak up the glue -- just rub it into the glue and brush off the resulting dust/glue putty. Then, when the glue has set, clean up any remaining squeeze out with a cabinet scraper. Then sand the joint down to the same grit as on the rest of the piece before you finish. The wet rag makes it look cleaner when the glue is wet, but it's really just more spread out. The idea is to make any glue on the surface visible so you know exactly what you have to clean up before applying finish. Frankly, trying to dissolve wood glue after it has set is a waste of time. There's really no chemical workaround I have found to (1) not overgluing the joints, and (2) avoiding scraping and sanding after the glue has set.
Mick,
I attempt to remove the glue squeeze-out about 10-15 minutes, (allowing the glue to develope a skin layer),
then followed by scraping off the glue with a chisel or scraper.

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
