Looks like a nice well built design with everything on it and economical to build.

The 3/4 inch clamps from Harvard freight, work great.

Gary,

Do the clamp faces feature mounting holes?

Can you describe how you used them?

The kind of objects you clamped?

Size of objects?

Length of pipe?

Positioning/location of clamps?

Were you able to maintain flatness over a large area, such as clamping door frames or the like?

Do you experience any torsional twisting?

Just curious how you got these Harvard clamp things to ''work great''.

Must be they have a new supplier. look just like jorgenson clamps they do not have mouting holes but jaws are flat same look just have to be drilled. At 8.99 there affordable. The clamps are 5 ft long. Had the bigg box stoe cut a 10 ft black pipe in half. It has the thread on each end only need one end threaded.

Looking at a pic does not necessarily indicate the actual product.

Some product packaging are marked, ''May not be as shown".

The better clamps have holes in the flanged clamp face.

Some faces on cast clamps are not flat.  They contain a raised casting parting line, that needs to be ground down, so the surface area is ''FLAT''.

Raised ridges, or the like, will damage the surface.

I've had to rework some clamp faces---grind and file flat and make smooth.

Here is a good video of another guy who built the bench.

I started my build not accomplishing much at a time because it is cold here no heat in the shop. Did get one leg section build and the other cut and drilled ready to Assemble .

Gary,

While clamp shopping at your Harvard Freight,

did you see any clamps that could be suitable for clamping these boards for an assembly bench?

That thing looks nice, I may use a few ideas when I build my bench, one of these days.  Thanks for posting

I did get a good portion of my work bench built. Here are a few pictures.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
