A protective storage tube to contain the specialized drill bit with the collar attached. Maintaining the drill razor-sharp is necessary, and it is very vulnerable to being knocked around in the tool case.

It is risky to change the depth settings by detaching and re-attaching the collar once it is set perfectly, so the tube must contain the drill with the collar attached.

I know everyone wants plans so i think we should have a "plans" tab on the home page where everyone can upload their plans- either plain drawings or sketchup drawings. this way anyone can look at them, download them and have a crack. any problems arising can be solved by the person who uploaded the plans. It might be a good idea to add pics of actual projects with the plans. i think it's unfair to depend solely on Kreg for plans.

Online. That is how I started. My local Lowes carries the K4, the smaller of the two big sets. From extensive past experience with jig setups, I wanted everything to make it easier, so i got the K3 online. You might get a teensy discount, but all the Kreg stuff is popular (cuz' it is really fracking good and works excellently) and it sells pretty much for list price, even on ePay and that river place.

Glad I got everything. Even with the initial expense, my first piece of furniture paid for it and more.

Someplace to find replacements parts would be nice. I have been looking all over for a replacement part (the nylon clamping face on the stock clamp is split). I can find sources all over for the Kreg Jig as a whole tool, or in a package deal, but no repair parts.

I have already sent an email regarding this to Kreg but I think it is worth saying it here also.
I just purchased a PRC 3000. I found if I have to move the router bit up or down very much it
would be most desirable to have a "crank" type instead of a "twist" type lift wrench. It is kind of
inconvenient to hold the tool down while twisting when a "crank" type would make it much
easier and much quicker. I don't believe one would even need the spring with the crank.

In an effort to confirm one would not use too long of a screw and poke through to the other side of the mating piece
and expedite assembly

is it possibel to build a chart on paper much like a multiplication times table and have different thicknesses on the horizontal run and opposing wood thicknesses on the vertical run .

run your finger down one and across the other at the intersection that would be the proper length of screw needed
for the application at hand ??

I agree with him. It would definitely be a great idea to make an "adapter foot" that would fit over the right angle clamp.
That would make the clamp much more versatile than presently. Right now you can only use it for holding stock in place so it doesn't get as much use as if it was adaptable to use as another face clamp.

A page on the community-site that allowed novices to post mistakes that they have recently made so that others could learn from them. They could post what they would do differently in the future and more experienced wood workers can provide insight as well.

I'm a new member and I was at our local Menards store. They have a nice display, but they seem to be waiting for the sale of 1.5 fine threads to be sold before they re-stock they're 1.5 coarse threads. The reason I'm bringing it to your attention is they also do it with other products. I would also like to see more project plans on your web- site. I really like the Kreg community, I think you have a winner here!

Absolutely love the Kreg family and tools. One problem only. With the intention of building the deck box a while back I discovered that trying to determine the amount of wood I needed it was a nightmare trying to use the 'cut list' as a guide. Finally I went to the local Lowe's store and asked the lumber department supervisor to help me calculate same. They also were confused and were unable to help me. I gave up on the project.

Thomas, great suggestion... getting our dealers to carry each and every screw (let alone all of our products) is something we work hard at every day. When they don't carry the one product you're looking for, it can be very frustrating. For the best selection, look for woodworking stores like Woodcraft, or online stores like Amazon and kregtool.com. They can be harder to find, etc. but will carry a larger selection than 'box' stores, etc. Good luck!
