Hello...I am new to Kreg joinery and I like what it allows me to do. I have build numerous shelf sets for my wife's classroom with relative ease. I now want to build a small TV stand/entertainment center for our bedroom to build my skills before I tackle the big entertainment center I want to build in the living room.
All that being said, as I progress, I know I will have to join different thicknesses of material. How do I use the jig to do this since its design appears to be focused on joining the same thickness of material together. I have the K4 Master System. I need advice on how to use the jig to join 3/4" to 1/2" among other thickness differences. Thanks for the help!

Thanks James! That gives me a great place to start. I have plenty of scrap on which to test. Should I use a shorter screw in this case?

Nope, use the 1 1/4" coarse screw for softwood or the fine screw for hardwood.
