I just measured the depth settings for the various wood thicknesses and made a startling discovery. According to the depth setting scale on the snap lock jig, the setting for the 1 1/8" wood is 1/16th of an inch deeper than for the 1 1/4" wood. The settings for the 1 3/8 and 1 1/2 measure the same. Anyway, here are Kreg's recomended settings as indicated on the scale:
1 1/8" = 4 3/16", 1 1/4" = 4 1/8",
13/8" = 4 5/16", 1 1/2" = 4 5/16".
Has anyone else actually taken the time to measure the setting scale on these units? I guess when the thickness of the wood gets over 1" a 1/16th of an inch in the depth of the pocket hole should really not make much difference .
I really would like to hear what the Kreg Rep has to say about this.

I have the Jr and have also been confused by these markings - for instance the 1-3/8" mark is only 1/8" (or less) further along than the 1-1/8", there is one mark that is half way between the 1-1/4" mark and the 1-1/2" mark - which is it?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
