Hi, I'm David Tobey, Leander, Texas, just northwest of Austin, Texas. My wife and I live in a cabin in the hills on 4.8 acres. Have two cats, 15 fish, and whatever wanders up from the surrounding woods. I teach digital publishing at Austin Community College and build boxes and remodel the cabin in my spare time. My shop is in a two car garage, no cars, most of the tools I have are hand-me downs or old tools I have gotten from garage sales. The Kreg system I purchased from Woodcraft in Austin and the Jr. one from an estate sale. Currently I am finishing a small deck on our pool and finishing 10 boxes.
Skill level for me is somewhere in the middle, whatever that means. I enjoy woodworking and repairing things, fishing and just walking in the woods.

My name is L E Gates, from Castle Rock, CO. I am fairly new to woodworking, althought I have worked at it for years.

There are two projects I am interested in making...1) A wine rack, roughly 3' X 3' with a place on top for a place for wine glasses and maybe a small drawer or two.

The other project is building a Fireplace that can house a 32 inch electric heater.

Any thoughts on either of the two projects would be appreciated.

I have a plan for a small wine rack. If you want a copy of it I can sent it to you.

Hi all,
I'm pleased to join you as a new member of the forum.I used to do cabinetry back in the days when mortise-tenon or dowels ruled - not easy. Now I have gotten back into it and discovered Kreg pocket screws - much easier. I just finished a storage cabinet using the Kreg mini-jig and about 20-30 pocket screws. Worked great, and I am convinced. I hope to pick up new tips on the forum and share what I learn.

My name is Larry Norton and I live in La Plata, Md. I've been woodworking for over 20 years now and my wife and I have a small business called "Wood 'n Wings". I build a lot of painted and stained things.

I love pocket hole joinery, use it all the time. I also have other Kreg stuff, including their router table and band saw fence. I look forward to learning many new things here. Thanks for having me.

Howdy, All. I'm Herb from Maine...love woodworking and have done a number of pocket hole joinery projects. I've had the Kreg jig for a couple of years and very much appreciate how easy it makes things. I actually was trying to subscribe to the monthly newsletter (still haven't been able to - registered my jig, now the Kreg site won't let me subscribe). I did receive an invite to this Community, so I "joined".

Hello! My name is Joshua. I'm gonna take this moment to just be blunt. I am a 36 year old Homeless man and I've been in Recovery for the past 15 months. All my life ever since I was a kid at the age of 9 I started working in the trade industry. I've been doing it ever since. Well as many tradesmen know that along with it for me came a lot of drinking and even drugs. I did very well for many, many years even owning a couple of my own business's. But long story short the drinking and drugs finally took over every thing and destroyed my entire life. Some of you will understand what I'm talking about. The loss of homes, the wife, family, jobs, income, and worse of all the kids. Well I'm working very, very hard to piece it all back together. So far so good. So now I'm in this shelter and trying very hard to get back in to wood working. It is the only thing in my life now that comforts me considering all my bridges have been burnt. In a nut shell I'm gonna ask that if there's any one who can help me by possibly donating some Kregs Jigs to me so that I may be able to start making some things to sell at Flea Markets, etc.. I've done a lot of custom wood working in my time and enjoy it very much, and I'm also very good at it. I know the economy is extremely tuff and this is why I'm asking for a donation of some Kregs Jigs. I haven't personally worked with them but I know and hear they are awesome. I'm not looking for monetary donations, just some jigs that I can make some money with. Please if any one is willing to donate a Kreg Jig or two I promise I will make you proud. I'm also will to sign something stating that one I receive them and start making money I will pay for them. Its just right now at this point in my life, living in a shelter and not being able to find work I have no money to buy them. I also ask that people please don't laugh at this because it is a serious matter. I know other guys that have had great paying jobs, even some Union Guys that have lost everything due to this economy. Please help!!! You can e-mail me @ jlg197383@yahoo.com with your responses. Thank you very much and God Bless!
Hello, my name is Troy and I live in Round Rock Tx. I have been do woodwork for about 2 yrs. when I received my grandfathers workshop after he passed away. In that time I have been working on converting my home garage in my own personal workshop. My first major project with the kreg jig was building an outdoor bar for my patio. I will post photos when I complete it as well as instructions on building it. I'm about 95% complete. I just need to finish the tile insert on the 2nd tier.
Hello,
Grretings from Poland. Unfortunatelly Kreg does not have any reseller in Europe so I do not have experience with this tools. But I saw the application and it is great tool, very useful and handy.
