Hey there my name is Guy Bratt I'm a retired electrician living in Michigan just southwest of Port Huron. My wood working experiance was related to construction untill 2007. About then I got caught in the woodturning vortex. Now I'd like to extend my skills a little and build some cabinets and such. My first Kreg purchase will likly be the portable router table followed by a pocket hole system.
Welcome Guy! I think you will like the kreg system it is a great alternative to more time consuming joinery and it works well.
Hello Guy, You will find this to be a nice venue when you want information or have a question.
Good luck.
Hi my name is George Adair. I've been wielding a hammer since I was about 8 years old. That works out to about 50 years of banging my nails instead of the ones I was supposed to be driving in. Took up woodworking more as a nessesity because I just couldn't afford a carpenter and wanted to put what my father taught me to some use. I consider myself a knowledgeable woodworker which means I still have a heck of a lot more to learn. I'm now getting involved in building gifts for family and multiple grandchildren. Kreg tools has been a great help in improving some of the projects I've taken on.
Hi all,
My name is Justin (from Ohio). New to wood working, but have been helping friends and family remodel for years. Just bought my first home and am enjoying planning my own remodels. I'm eager to get started and learn from everyone here. Already have my first project; a headboard made from old shutters. Pictures to come!
Welcome George, I too pounded nails for several years before going to work in a factory. I started building furniture to keep the feeling that I was actually making something. It is very rewarding. I've been building furniture for about 25 years now, so I feel I'm a moderate woodworker too. I now have a 5 month old granddaughter whom I am starting to build for.
Good luck George

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
