My name is Gary Sharp and I retired last July after over 41 years with NS Railraod. During high school I took vocational cabinet making in my Junior and Senior years. After graduating I worked for a cabinet shop for about 9 months before the RR. I've always done woodworking in my spare time. I initailly learned how to mortise and tennon then began using dowel jigs. I tried bisquit joints but was not as confident of their strength. The first project I made with the Kreg Master Jig was a baby changing table with 4 drawers in the middle and a door on each end. Thanks to the Kreg Jig, my project ended up as professional as any you would see in a high end shop.
Hello folks. My name is Sharon and I am a woodworking student at Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. I used the Kreg jig to construct the web frames in a cabinet that I made at school. I like the strong joint formed by pocket hole joinery. And I like that it is relatively quick in that I don't have to wait for glue joints to dry. I was a rank novice before starting in the Cabinetmaking and Furniture Technology Department at Palomar. I now have the first two classes under my belt, and next semester I'll be taking the advanced furniture making class along with architectural millwork.
Greeting all. I'm a woodworking teacher at a local high school and i've introduced my students to Kreg and boy do they like it.
my students are amazing. I showed them how to use the kreg system and they took old plans and converted them into
Kreg plans. I'm hopeing someday the school department will buy a Kreg kit. I bought the 3 kits they're using now with my own money.
Hi Everybody!! My name is Robert Arias, living in Las Vegas, and as a beginner on the kregjoint family, I would like to take this opportunity to learn more about woodworking. Recently bought a house in the PI and planning to do a kitchen renovation when I get home next year. A complete kitchen demolition (kitchen cabinets, counter tops, center island and lot more projects). Any helpful suggestions and tips are surely appreciated.
Hi, My name is Joe, I've been in the retail & online tool business for a while, but I'm also a former building contractor and a home woodworker. I think Kreg's product line-up is great, but there is one thing lacking in the router fence area, see my photos to find out what it is.
Hello all!
My name is Phil and I live in Fenton, MO (St. Louis). I've been dabbling in woodworking for years and never really had enough money to buy any "real" tools. Now that I can afford some things I've sworn off T.V. and built myself a small shop out back of the house and have started making some things to be proud of. I just bought the Kreg Jig and wish that I would have put it a little higher on the "priority tool" list! I love making stuff and my daughter and mom are usually the recipients of a large majority of my projects. In the near future my goal is to supplement my income with some of my creations.
