I have never really heard of liquid sand paper. does it work good?
I would use a stripper and follow up with a 80 grit sandpaper which I have relaxed (made to bend around the leg) easily. a stiff sandpaper will only make it look like it was done improperly.
removing the first coat of finish is important, be sure to go with the grain..
I made a lamp on a lathe when I was a kid (quite some time ago) on a lathe. Went through the
grits and finished it up with a French polish. Turned out pretty cool. I came across that
lamp some 20 years later and it still looked great.
My comment is that you can sand cross grain through all the grits and finish up with
grain line sanding.
When I run into that situation I use psa backed sandpaper (klingspor from Leevalley) rolls,
but leave the plastic backing for a little extra strength and sand like I am polishing a shoe.
Do it to music and have a glass of wine handy (after the power tooling).
For heavier sanding I'll cut up an old sanding belt and have at it.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
