Great looking desk.
Thanks guys
I mounted mine today on a 3/4 x12"x24" MDF board added the stop/support about 10"
to the side. It came out pretty good. Finally got to use my new Bosch circular saw too !

Hi, My name is William from Vancouver Canada via South Africa, via Kenya. I have been wood working for
most of my life. Just bought my first Kreg Jig Master System. I am looking forward to using it on some Oak cabinets I want to build.
I tried it on a small project, extending an Oak bullnose and found I was breaking a lot of screws?

Robert Brennan said: Hello William, In regard to breaking screws, you may wish to check the following,
1. If the timber is hardwood the screw thread should be "fine".
2. Make sure they are genuine Kreg Screws.
3. The length of the screw may be "too long" for your particulat job regardless of what the instructions recommend.
4. On Kreg's web site there is a video (I think) which details experimental lengths to suit other applications.
5. When I first started using my jig I also broke a lot of screws, I later found out the were a Chinese Manufacturer and not the real M'Coys. I overcame this by reducing the anount of torque I applied.
Hope this helps.

I am a new DIY.
I have taken on the challenge to build two shadow box wine cork end tables. Here is a photo of my Face Book page. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=1401141796&aid=2010647#!/p...
Right now I am building the frames to these End Tables, and plan next weekend to use the Kreg tool to fasten the legs I purchased from Lowes together.
I watched the Kreg video, and I am astounded they used no square or picture frame tool to ensure the base is square.
Has anyone else made a shadow box wine cork glass top table?

Greetings Fellow Wood Workers. My name is Kevin, they call me Casper when I'm touring on my Honda Goldwing Motorcycle. I am so new to wood working that I will make the beginners on this page feel like pros. I joined the local Carpenters Union here in Atlanta Georgia about 6 months ago, and have the qualifications of a third period apprentice. That ain't sayin much :-). Work is very slow here in Georgia, with the only opportunities in scaffolding. So, that is where the training has been focused. I'm not looking for work, and too old for scaffolding, so I have to mend for myself until some training with wood presents itself.
I have been acquiring tools as they come along in preparation for building a shop. I am very interested in the Kreg Systems, and will be utilizing the deck jigs to put an addition on my existing deck. The deck will be my first major wood working project due to begin in a month or so. I'm in the planning stages now.
I wanted to reach out with an introduction, and say hello to the Kreg Community. If anyone has a suggestion on where to acquire some training on wood working skills, please forward some suggestions.

Hi, I'm Becky, and probably one of the few women on this community. I live in GA and have been dabbling in woodworking for a couple of years, my skills growing with my workshop equipment. I'm a single mom with a son (who, unfortunately...or maybe fortunately...hates the sound of a table saw!), who's 4.
I bought my jig last month and have been having a blast with it. I've repaired a rickety rocking chair, built a couple frames, and made 3 shelf units. Forget Craigslist! I'm building all my furniture now!!!! I think my next project will be some sort of table. I have visions of a coffee table with recessed ottomans (ottomen?)
Hi I'm Steve from South Ga. and just bought my Kreg Jig about a month ago. New to woodwork and just finished a toy chest for grandson and now making a 4 space potato, onion, berad and whatever cabinet for my wifes kitchen.
Love the kreg jig and can make joints that I would never have attempted before.
Thanks Steve

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
