Welcome Elmer! I live down the road a bit (Southeast Texas), and it's always nice to see a neighbor.

We'd love to hear more about your space saving projects, when you get time. Everyone needs a few ideas and tips on saving space!

Thanks, and have a GREAT DAY!

My name is Greg and I live in chesterfield, VA . I have watched the infomercials on the kj for over a year and would consider myself an intermediate wood worker, starting at the age of 10 when I burned up my dads blck/decker electric drill. I am starting a wall unit project and knew I had to have the jig.

Hello, everyone. My name is Maggie, and I live in Roswell, Georgia. I bought the Kreg jig to assist me in the wood projects around the house and garden. My husband and I garden for food, and my plans are to encircle the garden with a wooden fence and four gates. Plus, I'd like a seating area with table big enough for eight people. Hopefully, I will learn what I need to do these projects and many more in the future.

Hello everyone, I've had my mini Kreg for awhile now and tried to use it today. I've attached a picture showing the pitiful results and hope someone here can help me out. As the picture shows, the stop is set correctly to 3/4" and drill guide is set at 3/4". I turned the practice piece around so you can see where the hole ended up.

I've done some woodworking for awhile now but I am by no means an expert. As with a lot of folks, lack of space is a problem! My thanks for Justin Waldron, member here and personal friend for guiding me here! He does some great work as you all have no doubt seen!

Thanks ahead of time for any help I can get with this.

I see that the board you ae using is narrower than the opening in the jig.  Is there some reason you would want to attach such a norrow board?  Is there a way to drill the other board so that the screw goes into this board?

You will see that if you insert a screw it does come out the middle of the bottom of the board - this is correct.  You could use this pocket hole and then fill, sand and paint to hide the screw.

When building outside projects be sure to use the correct screws.  The interior screws will rust within a few weeks.  Kreg screws are great, and if The Woodworking Shows have a show near you, I highly recommend going.  Kreg is always there and the prices are the best available.  Next best source is McFeeley's.  Get a catalog and you will be amazed at what is available.

Hello All,   I have been doing woodworking for a few years, I have small shop in the basement.  I live about 25 miles outside of Louisville, KY, near Ft. Knox and I am big UK Wildcat fan.  I am waiting on the kreg master system to arrive. Should be here monday. I have been checking it out for a couple months, and finally caved in and ordered it friday.  I have been in the building supply business for many years, and now work mainly with windows and doors.      Thanks to all of you for posting your projects for us new to the KPHJ to look at.

Thanks for the reply William. The board is a filler between a gap in my kitchen cabinets and I had to rip and plane it to fit. That is why it is so narrow. Now I know the problem; it is not a standard size board. I finally installed it by drilling through the face stile into the board from both cabinets. See attached.

Hi:

Ray here. I am a retired union carpenter. I have been doing projects since 1980 on my shopsmith mark 5 when I built two large desks (50/30) for my son and daughter. I just upgraded to a 510. Right now I am building two double tambor roll top desks for my grandkids. I bought the kreg jig last week and I love it. I work out of a 24' by 32' heated garage in Wallingford, Connecticut. Last summer I finished sheetrocking and painting the ceiling and walls, I built it in 1978. The saying goes "I may be slow but I do poor work) LOL. I have learned alot over the years and am still willing to learn. Lets trade tips.

Hi, I'm Tom, and though I am up in years, I recently started doing some wood working. Got my first ever table saw, wow straight cuts. I bought a Kreg K4, and am learning to use it.
hey folks im Ivan the electrician from Far Rockaway , NY. I just got my Kreg Jig and i cant wait to build something. Im so excited about my new tool. Im hoping to learn alot from u guys bcuz im very new to wood working but recently impressed myself with a few projects and right now im looking forward to building on top of them.

Why does half of the first page of all the Kreg Project Plans appear upside down? ??

Here

The upside down part is difficult to see and it is tiring to turn the page always.....

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
