When we built the drawers I did not have a pocket hole jig, and I am going to make false fronts to go over the drawer boxes themselves. I have actually already glued (and pocket hole joined) 3 board together to make a panel big enough to cut the false fronts out for the bottom drawers (which are 14" deep).

Stay tuned.

I saw you had built your drawers with screws through the end grain. Just a thought, but it might look a lot better if you had built those drawers with pocket-holes on the inside so their hidden... or at least put a false front on them so you can't see the screws on the front.

Looks like a very handy piece of furniture though! It obviously holds a lot of stuff.

Thanks for posting the video, Kerry! It's always interesting to see how different people have their shops setup, their Kreg Jig setup, and different approaches they take to woodworking. It looks like a challenging process joining that face-frame to the existing carcass, but it sure will look nice when you're done! Keep up the great work, and again... thanks for sharing!

Miter Saw Recommendation 1 Reply

I’m looking to upgrade my miter saw. I’m willing to invest a good amount of money to get one with the precision pocket hole joinery requires. Would anyone like to offer a recommended model?

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…

Not Pleased With Pocket Hole Construction

Several months ago, I purchased the Kreg K4MS so that I could build the Lego Table as outlined on the companion "buildsomething" web site which exclusively uses pocket hole construction.  I have considerable experience with conventional…
