Putting up a Fasle Front can be a good thing....

I'm real sore today, but that should be expected as I spent almost 4 hours on my knees yesterday (no, get your mind out of the gutter). I finally got all the drawer fronts finished with a final coat of stain and poly and it was time to install them.

For those who may have forgotten, this is what we started with way back when:

Then we progressed to this:

And now finally we are here:

And this final step turned into a bigger job than I anticipated.

Kerry, It's great to see this project come to a close. You did a great job, and the community can't thank you enough for taking us all along for the ride! Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see what you build next!

Its just select pine from Lowes and Minwax Stain/Poly all in one. Honey Pine - Satin.

My kitchen cabinets just have finger pulls on the backside of the doors, I thought maybe you had done something like that on these. What type wood and stain?

There is 2 inches inbetween the drawers (left and right - barely 3/8 of inch up and down) so right now you just grab the side of the drawer and pull it open. I have decent quality full extension slides mounted on the drawers so for the most part they move pretty easy.

We are going to pick out some drawer pulls, so they will eventually have handles.

Kerry- How do you open the center drawers? They look like they fit real tight. I am thinking of building one slightly taller than that and then installing a flat screen above it. The bottom door will have shoe "cubes" inside. Are you going to put a finished top on the unit?

Job well done.

I'll bet that was the longest 4 minutes of your life.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
