Introducing the all-new Kreg Square-Cut™

Square-Cut™

Available Starting March 1st, at Kreg Dealers Nation Wide
MSRP: $16.99

The problem with traditional squares is that while they give you a straight edge, they do nothing to simplify and speed up the process of aligning your saw to your pencil mark. The Kreg Square-Cut™ simplifies this process with an adjustable guide arm that can be set to work with any circular saw or jigsaw. Simply match the arm to your saw’s unique offset, then use the Square-Cut™ to make fast and accurate cuts over and over again.

The Square-Cut's adjustable guide arm can be set to match any circular saw or jig saw. It compensates for the length from the blade to the edge of the base plate. What does this mean for you? Instead of eye-balling the blade on the pencil mark or using your tape measure to set back your saw from the line to a specific length, all you have to do to get a perfect cut is place the guide arm next to your mark, and make your cut. Faster results, fewer mistakes, and much less aggravation.

Thanks to the adjustable guide arm, you can set and reset it on-the-fly to match different saws you own. As a Kreg Jig owner, does this new product interest you? Please leave your comments below for our engineers and others involved in this exciting new project!

I will have to have one of these. This will make the cross cuts much safer and accurate for a hack like me.

It appears to be a good tool, I would like to try it .

I would like to try one. Are they avail. yet? and who will be selling them? Is Lowe's going to be one of the distribut.? A note of interest to all Vets. Lowe's will give you a 10% discount if you have proof (like a V A card or a retirement I D). They do this but you will have to ask for it each time. 10% everyday is not bad.

From the pictures, it appears the adjustable guide arm is generally used for 90 degree cuts only. Is it possible to use it effectively for bevel cuts, like 45 degrees?

I have always just known what my offset is and added it to my measurement, thus placing my square at the right local to make a perfect cut. I could see where this would speed thing along once set, especially if someone else is marking your cuts for you, I too am concerned that if you don't place the offset at the perfect setting that you will damage the guide with the blade.

This looks like it will be a handy tool. I have a similar guide from a different manufacturer, but this one looks more adaptable. I wonder if the single bolt holding the offset will hold up. Also, it would help to have the guide wider to allow you to clamp the guide to the work piece. Clamping the guide would slow down the process but you could use two hands on the saw for a more accurate cut. I'm anxious to test it.

Where is the picture?

At 16 bucks I want one! The swing-away set distance arm would be worth the money in time savings compared to using saw guide boards
