Kreg Owners' Community

Hi, like Alan, I am new to woodworking. I just finished my first project, and I'm ready for my next one. I have been looking at the website for a while admiring the work. I've been looking for ideas, and I have found a bunch. I'm getting ready to get started remoldeling my bathroom so I know the kreg-jig is gonna be on overtime. I look forward to chatting with as many of you as possible. By the way, I'm a steel-fitter by day, so it is nice to be able to come home and work with wood. My dad is a very good woodworker. I grew up watching him. I'm starting to see why he loves it so much.

Welcome Levi. My love for wood started when I was about 5 years old in my grandfathers dirt-floor basement shop. It was there that I fell in love with the smell of woodworking. It continued through my highschool years with "woodshop", and now in my senior years I'm making time to play with my passion. I'm amazed at some of the projects I see here, and I'm patiently waiting for good weather for my "carport" shop to be put in use. There is a wealth of information and knowledge on this site and I consider my self a "kreg head".

Really glad that both of you are here and sharing your experiences as beginners. Excited to see how the Kreg Jig can help you grow your skills and project complexity. FYI - The project plans that come with new Kreg Jigs are a great place to start for beginners... we went to a lot of work to make them easy-to-use and fun to build. If you don't have them, you can find several of them in the right-hand column of this website under "FREE Project Plans"

Until the next time, good luck and good woodworking! Glad to have you here.

Welcome :) My father used to do some woodworking as well, and I never really had too much interest in it. Now I just keep making more plans every day.
