I'm going to join 2x4's, such that the pocket holes will go into the 3.5" side of one piece and this will be attached to the 1.5" side of the other piece. I know that if the 3.5" side was going into…Continue

HI Joe , welcome to the community , I noticed on your profile  that you do not have a KREG Jig, the K4 or K5 are both good depends on what you want to build !! I have the K4 master set and it work,s good for me , as I have drilled many pocket holes in the last few years  and have never drill a pilot hoe in either board !!   Make sure when you get your jig you also get a face clamp and a 90 degree clamp and you should not have any problem,s , clamping is very important to get a good tight joint , I also have a good selection of bar and pipe clamps that will help !!  Have a good day and happy wood working , JIM !!

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
