Yes you are right; it is referred to as a horizontal mount (queen size) bed. The advantage, of course, is it does not take up as much space in the room, just wall space. That room is not all that big so it works out well for us as the room is mostly used as our computer room.

You did a nice job, I would take it is a roughly queen size sideways? The chair gives it away. I hope mine turns out as well when I start on it again this winter. Summer is for sailboats.
