The panel put together but before it is sanded. I am using a Mission Style on this piece, so the raised part of the panel goes on the inside. I wanted solid wood instead of plywood, so I had to use the thicker panel to prevent cracking and splitting.

The panel is glued at top and bottom, but there is no glue on the sides of the panel so that it can expand and contract.

The hardwood mission style looks very nice here. The beveled legs are a nice touch as well.
