Saw something like this in a magazine. Thought it would be a great first project using my Kreg Jig. Drilled over one hundred pocket hole! Had a ton of fun too. Turned out way better than I thought it would since I'm just learning woodworking. If I could do it, anyone can! Made with cedar. Stained and sealed with Behr premium cedar tint clear deck and fence stain.

Great looking work Kevin. Would like to give it a shot. Would you share the project plans?
Thanks,
Rick
That looks great! Very nice project.
Hi Ken,
Thanks, and you are most welcome.
Kevin,
Thats a great looking project.
Thanks for sharing and providing the details.
Kevin R. Schlomas, you say this was a first project using your Kreg jig?
You are truly inspirational! Absolutely beautiful piece of work!!
Tom,
I hoped I made some sense. I'm not an experienced woodworker. Most of my design was eye-balling and guess work!
I did check the angle of the slat cut. It was 12 degrees on my miter saw.
Again though, your size might be different if you are going to match the curve of your fire pit. But, hopefully it will give you a general idea of the cut.
Good luck, and have fun! I'm looking forward to seeing your bench!
Kevin, your explaination is perfect. THanks again and I will show you my finished product when done...

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
