Don -- tried your technique on a pair of drawer faces, homemade jig for the plunge router and a V-bit.  Easy trick - consistent result.  Thanks for the tip!  Wife loves them.

Russ, The decorative cuts on the drawer face were done with a 60 degree V-bit and a bearing in my plunge router.  I built a jig of scrap wood that sat over the drawer front and ran the router around the edges.  Incidentally I used the Kreg jig to assemble the jig.  The flutes were made using my router and a jig purchased from Rockler.  The crown blocks were made on the drill press using a rosette cutter purchased from Woodcraft.  I cut several rosettes in a blank of wood and then cut them to size.  Trying to secure a small block of wood to the drill press while cutting the rosette proved almost impossible and not an area I wanted my hands to be ini.

Thanks for all the kind comments from everyone.  I will be making a matching chest of drawers in the future.

Don -- that is really awesome.  I love the bare look.  Very beautiful.  If it isn't too much like a magician revealing secrets, how did you do the decorative cut on the drawer faces?  Also, did you do the fluted trim and crown blocks from scratch?

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
