The timber is Tallow wood.
Scraps I had left over from an outdoor chair I made for my friend a few streets away.
Being Tallow wood its greasy so polyurethane glue is a must.
Sorry about having both feet in it I meant to send it to Jay only

Robert,
Very nice and attractive!
Hi Robert, Your table looks very good. I noted that you used the same concept as I did in the design of the grain layout. You have a 8 sided one and the one I am building is a 12 sided only cut in half. Makes for an interesting design and somewhat of a challenge in keeping angles true so that they all line up. I was able to complete the glue up without any wood filler and that makes me happy. I know I will be building another one soon as some customer has already requested that I do them a 6 ft wide 12 sided dining table using black walnut and using blood wood and ebony for enlays.
Again I am not only fasinated but impressed with your table. You have made something that is hard to do and it looks very nice.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
