What do you use as a finish to keep it from becoming sticky? I used polyurethane and it just got sticky and never hardened, especially on the ends.

Yes, my garage always smells awsome, and I never have to wory about moths, lol.

Well, there is alot of different issues that i run into with this wood, considering, I cut the tree down and mill it my self with my personal sawmill.
-I run into a good amount of tearout when I'm Jointing and planing.
-Cutting off all of the branches is a pain when I'm building the log portions.
-Cedar is a soft stringy wood so it responds differently to many processes than like your oak would.
