Look good but what would Mike Holmes say, is it safe does it meet code? check the local code requirements in your local and make it right. I would hate to see anyone get hurt. Does it need more support? Or maybe it needs metal brackets designed to handle the wieght of anyone using them. They look good but please consider a safe approuch.

As wonderful as the Kreg Jig is, screws and a very shallow dado are not going to be strong enough for these treads, they will eventually fail.

I looked closer.  I do see the dado sides.  They are deep enough to absorb the downward force, but not overdone.  Nice.  Thank you for the information.  Hope to see more of your future projects.

Thank you for your comment. A housed finish s stringer has dadoed sides to accept tread. 3 screws role than to withstand the loads of tread and the stringer is to firmly secure the role. wood is spruce.

I only recently bought my Kreg System.  Your finished product is a work of art.  My question is, did you test in advance how the 3 screws on each end would stand up to the constant pounding of strong feet and weight?  Did you use Douglas Fir, pine or a stronger wood?  Thank you.

Fine example of Kreg System usage for a heavy-duty application.
