April Pantry Cabinet

I built the Pantry Cabinet featured in the April newsletter for our basement kitchen which I started last fall and we use in conjunction with our outdoor Big Green Egg grilling area.
I made a few changes, building the base as a separate unit and using 3/4 birch plywood for most of the carcass and doors, 1/2 in. baltic birch for the door shelves, and I cut dados for all the shelves, making them all permanent. I also added a white ash butcher block/cutting board top to match the rest of the counter tops in this kitchen. The tops are all finished with a food grade mineral oil to facilitate prep work. We bake bread and make our own pizza dough and it is great to be able to roll out and form the dough right on the counter top as well as doing other chores.
The door rail and stiles are clear pine and the panels are made from 1/4" beaded wainscoting material. This cabinet makes a beautiful addition to our "auxiliary " kitchen.
