Well now Jens as long as it helps secure my property it can be a squirrel feeder.  I figure if I catch some up to no good gentleman he won't care if that was a squirel that dropped a nut on top of his head.  He will just know something hit him on the head while he rubs it...lol   Thanks for letting me know it fooled you too.

Jay,

I can only agree with you regarding the CCTV systems available today

I have always had CCTV on my homes after a neighbour threw broken glass into my sons sand pit.

I managed to catch him later doing the same again. Only in those days I had a Time Lapse Reel to reel video recorder, it was as big as suitcase then, and the camaras were the size of a loaf of bread and only B&W. I used IR Illuminators off an M15 APC I was able to "find" in my ARMY days

Now a days they are as small as you want IR capable, built in and with DVRs all can be hidden away and DC power supply back up.

There is no doubt in my mind they are a deterent to crime and even if visible but not working.

I still have an old camera mounted inside my front door, which had failed ago, I didnt have the heart to throw it away. My sons are now 25 to 32 and we live in reasonable security.

Robert we can all get a good laugh,  I just read your second comment and I am glad that it is mistaken as a bird house.  That means i might catch me a couple birds.   lol  Thanks Robert might give you an idea should you need a system.  It seems that camera are the in thing yet hard to hide.  this was one way i figured would fool any body up to no good, especially with other actual bird houses near by.  I made this from scrap cedar from a fencing project.

Ar,

After taking some closer looks I just realised what it really is !!

I was wondering one end was not open and thought that unusual!

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
