Trying some thing new , made this from a pattern in the Winfield Collection , made from 2 x 12,s and used some Kreg screw,s for part of it, a lot of cutting !!!

This is so cute Jim!   Had to be a fun time watching the horse take a personality all it's own from straight boards to a sparkle in the eye!

Jay , thanks for the nice comment,s , the band saw did get a work out !  Did use the kreg jig to join the head and tail sections , kept them flat and straight !  Also used it for the cross braces on the rocker,s and added the one in the middle for extra support !!  Also have put on a coat of satin polly  since I took this picture , really brings out the color,s and detail , have a good day , Jim !

Jim, nice horse showing a lot of detail work with the band saw.  I like the rockers as they look sturdy as does the rest of the horse.  Nice choice of material and attention to details even with the paint brush.  The does remind me of an Old fashioned Christmas as those days Christmas was not Christmas with out a kid's wooden rocking horse.  Nice  job there  Jim.

Jig settings for 2 ¾ x 1 ½ boards with 30 degree miters?
