Thanks Jim!  Yes,  I would very much enjoy having the plans.   My "want to do/try" list is growing by leaps and bounds!

If that bench is up for adoption, I could give it a lot of love and a great home.   Good work!

James, beautiful work on the storage bench.  You got lucky with being able to pick up the crates.  Like Jay said some people don't want to go to the trouble digging for the wood.  Yes you can find great pieces of wood that people have tossed.  Great looking and very useful.  Thanks for sharing.  George

Jay , I totally agree with  you on recycling , there would be less trash in the land fills and more useful products back in the world  to be reused again  ! And there is really not a lot of work involved  in re using the boards I get , a little wood filler , some sanding and they are ready to go again , I even give the brackets I cut off the ends to a guy to take to the scrap yard to be recycled !! You also have a very nice neighbor that makes toys out of your cut offs for kids that would not get anything for Christmas , tell him I said thank you , Jim !!

Jim if only more people would realize that there is far better wood that is being tossed away that what they can buy off the lumber racks, the world would be much better off.  When I can I recycle some excellent wood just tossed to the way side as most would rather buy new wood than do a little work and even get better wood.

I give all my shorts and cut offs to some of my neighbors who use it for crafts and many are making some outstanding gifts from what would go in the waste can.  One guy is making wooden toys and then gives them to the kids in the area who would have no Christmas presents if he didn't make them.
