That table is really cool. I bet you had fun building that table. I do like you "X" design and the way you followed the wood grain to the center. Thanks, James for sharing a really nice table.

The kids have followed me to the pantry closet---

I came out with a bag of cookies---

they went back in later and searched for half an hour---

and came up with nothing.

I never did divulge they were hidden in the dog food bin.

(They never did look there).

KEN , Looking forward to seeing pictures of your new build with the secret compartment  , ps  - don,t worry we here at the community won,t tell the grand kids where the cookies are hid , HA !!

James,

One of my table build plans in the works, is for a drawer within a drawer---

akin to having a secret compartment (false bottom).

Gotta hide a few of grandma's cookies from the grandkids.

Thanks Steve  for your nice comment !!!  This was one of them jobs , that I had a box full of short 1 1/2 and  2 1/2  wide boards , do not like to waste boards !!!  So you think about it , draw it cut it and screw it together with KREG Screws, add  a few biscuits and some glue , four legs and you have a table !!!HAHA   Sorry Ken no pull out trays on this one  , lots of room on the top for the coffee and cookies HA !  JIM !!!

Mick,

He probably has that planned for phase 2.

With pull-out trays on each side, for the cookies.
