My current work space is a mismatched series of cabinets, tool boxes, and sawhorse workbenches that is not user-friendly and messy. I am looking to build some workbenches on wheels that I can join together when needed, but push against the walls like cabinets when not. Anyone have any designs? I would love to set up a nice workspace to be able to use the Kreg tools I own, and have the storage to acquire more!

Hi Russell,
I too have limited space. I just purchased some plans from Ron Paulk for a portable work station. Have a look on YouTube. Just search for Ron and you can see what he has to offer and perhaps his station might work for you.
Just remember, whatever the challenges, just keep building something - somewhere.

Here's an entire site devoted to workbenches. They have links to a lot of free plans plus more to purchased plans.
James,
Thanks for the link. That site has a lot of additional info for me to pore over.
Russell,
Currently I plan to build a pair of 2' by 4' benches by modifying the plans in the current issue of Shop Notes magazine (there plan is for an 8' long model). Besides modifying the size, I'll make the benches mobile using the Rockler workbench caster system and insure the bench tops are the same height as my table saw. This way they'll do double duty as an out-feed table and provide side support for cross cutting long stock or sheet goods.

The 2x4 workbench plan from Kreg seem pretty adaptable. You could build cabinets order the top and add wheels to the plan. If you used a couple of them and built them table saw height you could use them for all sorts of tasks.
Here is table that folds up that I like. http://kregjig.ning.com/photo/albums/portable-folding-work-table

I am doing a modified version of the Paulk Total Workbench with two benches 24" x 96" and place them in a L pattern in the back corner of my garage. (note - not my images below, just examples)
Instead of the saw horse style base Ron has, since my will mostly be stationary, I am planning to do pedestal base legs instead with locking casters. Base will be similar to this one
Then if I need to have a larger bench for big stock I can roll them together and tock them together.
I will post pics in a few weeks when I have some more time to work on it
Good luck!

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
