Wondering if anyone has any tips on using the Kreg to fasten the miter corners on a 2 1/4 " wide picture frame when the frame thickness has been planned down from 3/4" on the outside to 1/2" on the inside. I noticed that the info booklet says to lift the heel of the end so the hole drill will start in the back of the frame and to attach one screw in each direction to hold the miter fast but I am sure someone must have come up with a better system than that?? Or, is it back to biscuts? New to the Kreg system but learning fast and liking it too!
Thanks for any help.

I'd still use biscuits. You're just running screws into endgrain.
