Name - Jack Charity. Originally from Scotland. Been here, Louisiana, 26+ years, after 13 years in Africa where I became very self sufficient by necessity, in car repair and construction, including carpentry ("joinery" in UK, where "carpenters" make furniture and "joiners" build houses),  A/C and electrical work, and plumbing. (I can't believe that the US, well Southern States anyway, have taken so long to realize the advantages of PEX !).
I am a Nurse Practitioner by trade, but have always liked DIY, mainly because we Scots are thrifty (some would say "mean") and I just do not like paying hundreds of dollars for something I can do better myself.

About to start making some Plantation Shutters, and Pocket Joinery with plugs and paint will be perfect.
After very little research, it became apparent that the Kreg system had covered all the bases from jigs to screws. No point in inventing the wheel twice.  So now, I too am a Kreggie.

Hello, my name is Deb and I live in Southern AZ. I have never done any work with wood except for many years ago in wood shop class! My husband and I bought our first house 2+ years ago and are starting to put our spin on it.
This past weekend we sweated it out in our garage making me a craft table. Thanks honey! Now I want to work on other projects with my kreg jig 4 and shelf pin jig!

Good night!
My name is Augusto Moraes.
I was born in the state of Bahia / Brazil and currently live in Brasília / Brazil.
'm Inicinado in joinery. I am here to exchange ideas.
A hug to everyone

Hello my name Is Cathy and I live in Alabama I have been looking at the different KREG kits for a while and just purchased the k4ms I am blown away with all of the cool projects, pictures and plans I have seen on this site. I have decided to jump in and try to build the furniture that I need based on the space limitations I have to work with most will have to serve as 2 items such as coffee table and storage for sheets and blankets. Can't wait to get started look forward to meeting anyone that can give me pointers and or help when I get in over my head.

Hi, Im Dave from Greenville, Oh.  Just bought a fixer upper and have several years of carpentry experience.  Have many nex projects to do now and starting with a table for the Flordia Room.  Looking forward to hearing your ideas, techniques, and opinions.

My name is Ron Plain, I am from Aamjiwnaang, a small First Nation community on the Canadian side of the St Clair River beside Michigan.
It's been twenty year or so since I've done any woodwork to speak of and now with the help of a medical disability I find myself with too much time on my hands. I first saw the Kreg Jig on an informer ail five years or so ago. I wanted it then but not enough to search for it. Now, as we are renovation and in need of an island and some cabinets I decided the time to join the Kreg community had come. I've purchased my first Kreg Jig, the Saw Guide and two clamps and today mag the face to my first cabinet, a large pantry. There are issues with tung oil, I need help with this, but other than that I am real pleased with my first effort. (I will post pics when pantry is complete)
So far I'm impressed with the equipment I've purchased and with the quality of members posting and replying. I look forward to interacting with you.

Hi I'm Warren from Australia and owner of onewood.com.au who distribute MicroJig and other tools in Australia and New Zealand. I started my YouTube channel today which i am a little excited about https://www.youtube.com/user/onewoodtools

This feels almost like an intervention ha ha Im Warren and addicted to Kreg, admitting you have a problem is the first step right :)

Hello and welcome Warren

Jay and I were just chatting about you,or more correctly the Microjig products.

I will check out your website and contact you.

Hello, my name is Charlie, I live in the central part of England and have been woodworking for most of my adult life.  Now recently retired, I will have more time to progress my wood skills.  I have just laid out a new wood shop at home and will finish this over the next few weeks.  I am a turner and also make small furniture pieces, up to now as gifts for family and friends.  I have posted a quick shot of a couple of rustic oak door stops made from a nominal 150mm (6 inch) square oak beam.  The handles are manilla rope, which has been made into a soft eye.  I will post some turned items later.

My first Kreg tool was the mitre gauge, and also the featherboard kit.  I plan to use the mitre gauge on a table saw as an upgrade, and on the bandsaw - which did not come with one!  The featherboards are for the router table and the jointer.

I have joined the community to share ideas, tips and plans.

Cheers!

Charlie

Hi fellow Kreg enthusiasts!

I'm Jen and I run The House of Wood, a DIY and design blog. I'm a performing songwriter by trade, but when I was pregnant with our first child (3 years ago), the nesting instinct hit me hard. I dove head first into the world of DIY and have been loving it ever since! I enjoy building furniture and use the Kreg Jig for pretty much everything I build! I'm an Army wife, so we're constantly on the move, but we originally call Nashville home.

Looking forward to checking out your projects!

Hi Jen,

My wife's dad was a long-time British Army man, so we are aware of the constant moving thing!

How does your blog work - do you have a link?

What are you working on at the moment?

Charlie

Hi Charles,

My blog is at http://jenwoodhouse.com/blog

I'm currently building a console table for my parents foyer.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
