You are probably like me and waiting to get the K5. Have fun building!

Hi I'm Derek from Dundee in Scotland and I've just discovered Kreg products on the internet. I have been into DIY for a number of years and my main difficulty was in joining wood and making it look professional. The Kreg system is the answer to my prayers and I have just ordered the Kreg K5 Master System and Mini Jig and can't wait for them to arrive. I converted my garage into a workshop last year (the car has not been in it for years), and have kitted it out with benches, shelves, a portable bench saw, router table etc. Look forward to learning tips etc from you more experienced guys (and gals) out there.

Hi Derek welcome too this great site ,I live in oxford .I am sure everyone would like too see some photos of your shop ,go steady mick.

Hi Michael

Pics of my workshop attached. I've just ordered a calor gas heater at £56.00 to warm it up in Winter.

 Welcome your comments.

Hi Derek,

Nice shop!  I like that you have everything on wheels so you can move it around if you need to.  It looks like you did a great job in building your benches.

Hi Lorrie

I started with one bench then decided to build another with castors on and it just developed from there. It means I can wheel things outside if its a good day or around the shop. I'm hoping to buy a planer/thicknesser in the Spring so I'll have to make another bench for that. It keeps me busy!

Hey Derek, would love to see the photos of your shop, as everything in my shop(for the most part) is on wheels. I like the mobility and I'm not as young as I used to be and it makes it a lot easier to move things around. Glad your enjoying this site. All the folks i've met here are super nice and most helful. Again welcome.

Harold

Hi Derek,

Thanks for your reply.  :)  Sounds like a good plan working outside in the nice weather/sun.

You can post some photos of projects that you have done on your page.  That way people can click on your name and see your projects.  From the Home page, you click on "My Page" and then "Photos".  choose the photos that you would like to place on the community site.  click on "add photo" and you can add a comment.  You can also display it as a "project".  Just follow along the prompts and you can name your project.  It is a very nice way to keep your photos organized.  We all know that once you start building with the Kreg Jig, you add more and more.  If you would like to see projects others are making, click on their name and it will take you to their home page.  I hope this helps you.  I saw that someone else was asking to see your workshop.  It is definitely worth posting on the site.  Good luck.  Let me know if you need any help.   thanks and have a great day!    Lorrie

Derek,

When you're hooked on working wood, there's no end in sight.

My Dad would say, "there's no light at the end of the tunnel",

my Mothers response was, "the light bulb is probably burned out".

Harold,

A D12 dozer can move some heavy loads.

Yes Ken, a D10T is an awesome little kitten and is capable of moving mountains of material.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
