Hello all. My name is John and I live way up north in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Recently retired disabled, and want to get a little more into woodworking. My wife bought me a Kreg jig a bit ago, and I just used it to build a pantry cabinet in our dining room. What a fantastic tool. It made things so simple to do. I can't wait to start on the wall unit she has planned for our living room. I think....

Bill,

You might want to check out a merchant called www.hardwaresales.com  They typically have good prices and almost always FREE shipping.  They are located in the state of Washington as I recall.

I've always found them to be fast and inexpensive.  They carry quite a bit of the Kreg line of screws, tools, etc.

Good luck.

Steve

Hi everyone, my name is Chris. I live in MIddleboro, MA. I have built a lot of things from chicken coops to barns to refinishing basements but am pretty new to woodworking projects. I got my kreg master kit for christmas 2010 and have used it quite a bit already.

I would like to get project plans and ideas for beginners. Mostly i am looking for plans for cabinets, birdhouses and feeders, and outdoor structures.

 Hi ,

My name is Neil and I have shopped around for project plans myself and you can get them online. Just get onto Google page and type in either CABINET PLANS ORBIRDHOUS PLANS OR OUTDOOR FURNITURE PLANS. I hope this works for you.

Hi my name is Neil from Roanoke, Va.  For the plans you are looking for go to Google and search for either Cabinet plans , birdhouse plans or outfurniture plans . I hope this works for you.

Greetings from Tinley Park, IL. My name is Kevin. I'm a beginning wood worker. Made a bunch of bird feeders/houses. A few whirligigs. Custom fishing rod racks. Several outdoor Adirondack style rocking chairs. Other various decorative items.  I just posted pics of my first Kreg Jig project. It's a cedar curved firepit bench. Loved using the Kreg Jig. Over one hundred drilled on my first job!

Hello,

My name is Tae and I live in Busan, South Korea.

I plan to buy a Kreg jig through Amazon to start woodworking.

I am very glad to find this community website and hope to learn

a lot reading valuable info provided by the community members!

Thanking you all in advance,

Tae

Good Morning!  My name is Wolfgang and live outside of Atlanta.  I took a very long break from Woodworking while raising my children, so I am just really getting into things.  For my first Kreg Jig project, I made a cutting table for my wife.  For any project I start, look at, or entertain, I look to my Kreg Jig first for holding things together.

That look great Wolfgang. I guess  woodworking is like riding a bike you never forget.
Thanks!  I did the final assembly inside the room and then realized that it won't fit out of any door!  Its a good thing we aren't planning to sell the house because she told me that if we do sell, I have to build another table.

Dear Wolfgang,

Thanks for your welcoming reply. Your first project outcome looks nice!

In fact, my biggest problem is to find a space to restart my woodworking hobby

which I enjoyed a lot when I was in the US in the '80s. According to my wife, the

sweetest thing that I did as father and husband for the past 30-year married life

was the cradle I made together with my wife for my first kid before she was born.

(Of course, it must have been a rather lousy cradle from the viewpoint of expert

DIY people.)

As you might know, most Asians live in an apartment. So it is difficult to have a

space to get indulged into woodworking. Maybe I need to join a woodworking

club just for that reason.

Wolfgang,

For a Dachshund you are a very clever dog, my Dad had one many years ago but I didn't realise that they could make such great woodworking projects, let alone be able to use a Kreg Jig so well.

Ha ha tee hee

Keep up the good work.

PS Dachshunds are a very popular dog in Australia, possibly because they are so great with kids.

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
