Wood Magazine, Woodworkers Journal, Woodsmith Magazine, Sawmill Creek Forum, and the King of Woodworking NORM ABRAM and the New Yankee Workshop, and of couse what people ask for.
Most of my projects are from SWMBO's wish list. Or requests from friends and relatives.
I like:
Fine Woodworking
Wood
Woodworking
Popular Woodworking
Shop Notes
I use to watch New Yankee Workshop until it was no longer available.
I like to shop furniture stores with a camera.
Actually from here seeing what everyone else has been doing and TV shows.
Neccessity has been the mother of my inventions, but recently my current project is coming from an old issue of Wood Magazine. I've also been known to look at what my father or brothers have made, and then see if I can recreate and even go beyond their designs, like in the case of the rocking horse.
I like Wood and Woodsmith. My favorite thing to do is to go through catalogs (Pottery Barn, C & B, etc) and change what I see to fit what I need.
The same as the other Wood, Woodsmith also New Yankee Workshop. My wife comes up with pictures from magazine and I have to make the plans and then do the work. It has been fun building different projects and gaining experience along the way. I can see that the others Kregers are the same kind of people. Show them a project and they just get it done.
New Yankee Workshop rekindled my passion for woodworking. My inspiration is filling a need. Direction is sometimes left wanting. :) I have just reacquired my mother's bedroom set from her childhood. It was built by the high school wood shop class where my grandfather was principal in 1946. It was crude, but my favorite bed to sleep in at my grandparents house (feather EVERYTHING). It's not fit to use as furniture anymore. I plan to use the wood to make something small for all of Mom's grandchildren to remember her by.
Although I subscribe to several different woodworking mags most all my "inspirations" come from my wife.
Because I have a Dutch heritage I hate to buy anything that I think I could build better or cheaper. The cabinets I am building will probably still be standing even if we get a hit by a tornado.
Pretty much anything and everything. Magazines, Commercials, Potter Barn Catalogs, you name it. I always have my cell phone camera at the ready in antique shops and furniture stores.
Anyone ever see this guys site?

Amazing things he has done, along with Jigs he has made... Not sure if I would use his bandsaw made mostly out of wood though...lol

Free Hand Guard (dust collection)

Hi.  I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing.  How effective is it?  It's adaptable to any router table.  Continue

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.

First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
