Kreg Owners' Community

I completed my first pig project just last week and I have to say it went well.

The project I chose was the farmhouse table which seems to be popular. I mainly chose this because my wife and I needed a new and bigger dining table and I didn't want to pay a lot of money for one, when I felt I could make something better, sturdier and cheaper.

I took the plans from here:

After this project I certainly want to invest in a Kreg system because using the mini Kreg jig takes time. :)

Next up is to complete two benches for the table.

LOL...The first image showing the table top with the pocket holes made me think, "I hope he knows the pocket holes goes on the bottom of the top.", then I realized it was flipped over intentionally to show the placement of the pocket holes. :)

Really magnificent looking dinner table, Ethan!

nice job Ethan, good looking table

James, i like the idea of the pocket holes showing on the top, plugged with contrasting color plugs, maybe even add extra holes for more color.  have to add that idea to my "list"

Nice job Ethan.  I'm building a table also and was wondering what consideration you gave to allowing for wood movement.  How did you handle this on the breadboard ends.

Nice work!
