I recently bought a Kreg featherboard. I have two band saws and a table saw, all older Craftsman brand. I cannot get the feather board to fit the miter slots. It does fit the slot on my router table. Is there an adapter that fits Craftsman?

Hi Paul. The Kreg Featherboard hardware is meant to fit a 3/4"-wide track. Unfortunately, the older Craftsman models are going to be 5/8"-wide, so our hardware will not work. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Paul,
I've run into that fit problem myself.
I made a miter bar from solid hardwood maple---cut to width and depth, to fit the miter slot.
Added a slot of applicable length, along the center of the miter bar, added a hole, centrally located, to accommodate the flat-head screw.
Lube the miter bar and miter slot with finishing paste wax, for a smooth sliding operation.
Worked for me.
Were you able to lock it in place so it would not move while working?

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
