The drill bit diameter for the standard size is 3/8'' (.375).
The mini drill bit is 25% smaller dia, which = .281'' (9/32) dia.
Ken, I measured the micro drill bit and it is 0.312 inch diameter.
When Kreg Tool says it is 25% smaller, they are referring to area not diameter, and their figure is only approximate.
How about Kreg Rep giving us the official line.

I'll give it my best shot!
The standard Drill Bit measures about .375" diameter.
The standard Plugs measure from about 0.360"-0.368" depending on moisture content, humidity, wood types, etc.
The Micro-Pocket Drill Bit measures about a .300" diameter.
The Micro-Pocket Plugs measure from about 0.29"1-0.283" depending on moisture content, humidity, wood types, etc.
drill bit area?
hmmmm...
That's a new one on me.
I learn something new everyday.
Generally, in the machining world, drill bits are measured in ''diameter''.
Re ''hole plugs''---I'll keep using plugs that fit the hole, or sand them down to fit.
I don't have time to wait for the humidity to change.
If it's a ''gnats whisker'' loose, I'll fill the voids with a filler.
If it's half a ''gnats whisker'' loose, I'll use a marking knife or scribe along the plug body,
so as to ''upset'' the surface, on two or more sides, and press or tap the plug in place.

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone has used the Woodpecker Free Hand Guard for dust collection on their bench top router table during pattern routing. How effective is it? It's adaptable to any router table. Continue

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
