Computer bench draws

Hi there I'm a complete newbie to wood working.

I would like to build a set of draws for my computer desk, was looking at  something like this but cut down.

Any advice

4X2 or what timber

All I really wish to do fist is just make a simple ( Simple from a newbie hahah) 2 draw cupboard that I would place a sheet of formply onto of going latter to a computer holder of some sort, all being in a corner of the room.

Ok, I was able to modify the url and I saw the pic embedded in your first post.  To answer the question you posed to Zac, it looks like the material he built his frame out of is 3/4" or roughly 19mm thick.  In the U.S. that is commonly referred to as "one by" ( 1 X ** ) if surfaced pine or 4/4 if rough cut hardwood.

After looking at the pic of what you have now, are you wanting to build something that fits inside one of the existing openings? or are you wanting to build a new cabinet with drawers? 

If a new cabinet, I'm guessing you need it to be 760mm tall (since that correlates to about 30" which is the height of my computer desk).  Assuming that is correct is the 350mm dimension the distance from left side to right side of the case or front to back?

I'm looking to put the top I all ready have straight onto of what I build, so depth front to back would be 350mm

width 800mm

existing openings don't matter as the are just legs not connected holding the top up and are all to be replace by new pocket hole build

I am not sure of the wood lingo in Australia.  If you search this forum for plans you will find a thread that has several links to woodworking plans.  Unfortunately they will mostly be in feet and inches.  You can use an on-line calculator to convert to mm (that's what I've been doing with your posts). 

Another option is to check out this forum.  It's from Australia and the members speak metric very well.  they may be able to offer more assistance than I can.
