Building a custom shaped table

So, when I have the guts to go for it, I am going to be building a table that will fit over the hearth where a wood stove used to be in my kitchen.  Before I learned of the awesomeness of the Kreg Jig, I didn't think that there was any other way than to glue/clamp the pieces together.  So now my question is, can I use the Kreg Jig instead of clamping/gluing, or at least instead of clamping, and still have a good sturdy table that is a bit larger than the example projects i find on the Kreg site?  Also, if I do build the top using the Jig can I then testfit it and then break it down to glue it back up, or will that not be a good idea after having already made the screw holes the first time around?  Hopefully I am being clear...

Here is the area that the table will go.  It will follow the same curve and stick out several inches on the sides so that bar stool height chairs can be used:

You will be able to build it and there is no reason to glue it up.These joints are so tight there is no need for glue.Just MAKE sure that the kitty is removed

No worries. of the three animals in my house, this one is the one most likely for me to attempt to not build into a project :)

Build the base and the top seperate. When putting the top together just run the screws in enough to "snug" the pieces together. If every thing looks ok (overhang, edge banding, size, etc.) then take it apart and glue and screw it- but I would suggest NOT gluing the top to the legs, just in case you want to make changes later. Stagger your Kreg holes so the boards only go together one way, or number the underside of the pieces so you can get it back together again. Keep us updated with pictures of this project.
