Barn door hardware

I am posting this to help out all of us wood works and builders. As a builder I have been doing more and more barn doors in remodels and new basement build outs. I recently ordered 2 custom hanging barn door kits from Barn Door Hardware .com ,what a rip off.
First off. The hardware is lighter gauge and looks like new stamped hardware. The return policy is a 25% restocking fee. They sent me wrong items and I found out that to exchange it would be a 20 % restocking fee. There is no negotiating the fees, they were quick to tell me it's on their website and I ordered anyway. So on a 519.00 dollar order it would be about 140.00 that I lost, then to ship back to them would cost me around 128.00 because of the weight and length of the tracks. So out of the 519.00 I spent ,I would lose about 270.00. About half of what I spent. Any one looking to. Door these barn doors I would use Hanging Door Hardware.they have much better quality and it looks more authentic,heavier looking. BarnDoorHardware and their parent company of Rustica Hardware would be a place to stay away from.

That is a great article that you have posted. I sure did learn more about wood works. I have been remodeling my house too and I have been looking for some fresh ideas. Thank you for sharing your tips.
