Sideboard Project build up

I made these 2 left and right matching sideboards for my sister. The left one is a flip down front door on the bottom, a left side door for platters or other awkwardly long peices and shelves inside the main cabinet. The right one has a drawer on the bottom, a matching right handed door for platters etc and the cabinet contains shelving and a sliding glassware tray. 3/4" pine plywood

Anthony, if i was doing it all over again....i'd have used oilbased paint.  But it's not for everybody.

Hi Geoff, I'm trying to build something with a contemporary look as well and this finish with the Latex paint doesn't look too bad. What else would you have used instead? I was initially planning to go with gel stain and tung oil but paint sounds soooo much easier.

Thanks Sarah, i'm pretty proud of them myself!  My sister wanted something clean and contemporary and didn't really have a plan so I just shot from the hip with the first and then replicated and reversed for the second.  The only thing i didn't like about them...my sister chose the paint and went with Latex paint/primer in 1.  You're looking at a solid 5 coats and the finish is still less than satisfactory B-(

New Kreg 720Pro

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.

I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
