This is the first keg tool I have bought. I did ok using the i inch setting and joining some pieces of deck board to make coasters. My problem is I am trying to make small picture frames, using 3/4 inch stock. I drilled the pocket holes at the 3/4 inch setting, then used 1.25 inch screws to join the two pieces together. Screws go right thru to the underside of the other board. If I use shorter screws they don't catch in the wood. It appears the screws are coming out to low in the wood. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks

Make sure the materiel you are using is actually 3/4 My guess is that the 3/4 stock you are using is closer to 5/8th thick.
Wilbert,
There are a couple things that could be going on in this situation. First, make sure that your torque setting on your drill is turned down. If this is too high, it will over-drive the screws, causing them to come through the other piece.
Second, make sure that you are following the angle of the pilot hole. You can greatly influence the placement of the screw if you lift your drill while driving it. While driving your screw, the drill should almost be laying on your workpiece.
Last thing, as Andrew stated, you will want to make sure that your material is a true 3/4" thick. If it is a little undersized, it can make the screw come through your material, as the 1 1/4" screw will come close to your edge on true 3/4" to give you the strongest joint.

I saw the video Kreg put out for this new jig and had high hopes for it.
I purchased one today and am very disappointed with it.
First the docking station is extremely cheap. The plastic is pathetic. A Lego has more…
