Jonathan, I did not add a center leg. I considered it at the start but felt that it was not necessary. I used 3/4 inch oak for the frame, top and base. I also sat on it to see if it bowed. Got lucky. Thanks for the suggestion.
Fred, Just start, if you wait for all the tools you need you will find that other tools are needed. I started and stopped, got the tool needed and continued. Cant plan for all.
Did you add a middle leg? Just curious as most pieces of furniture add a middle piece to help support the piece from bowing towards the middle. If not I would consider it. Either way quality job here. Looks nice!
