Thanks. All the wood was prepped using handplanes only, no sanding. The plywood was prefinished so I scuffed it up a bit with some 120-grit paper. Everything got one coat of Kilz Premium latex primer. Then 3 coats of latex semi-gloss white paint, thinned down so I could spray it through my Earlex. I knocked the primer back with 220 grit paper, then each coat of paint with 400-grit paper. I sprayed two coats of Minwax gloss Polycrilic on top of the paint, knocking back the first coat with a gray nylon pad.

I making a hex ring out of 2x4s ripped to 2 ¾ inches wide with 30 degree miters. What setting on the Jig should I used? 1 ½ is too much. Thanks.Continue
