Made this to make room on my main work bench. Works great and not hard at all to make. Rotates nice and smoothly

HI JACK , like your design and Idea , if I under stand you right  , you put the rod in the middle of the two pieces of ply  !! Then drilled a hole in each side for the rod to turn  in  !!!   Did you use a shelf pin bracket on each side and both ends  for the ply to sit on after you rotate it, that is what it looks like in the pic.!!  Great Idea and thanks for sharing , if I am wrong please let me know , have a good day , JIM !!!!!

Hi, I used two 3/4" pieces of Sande plywood, routed with a 1/2" round tipped bit down a 1/4" in each piece. That gave me the perfect 1/2" hole I needed for the 1/2" metal rod I laid between the two pieces of plywood. I then glued and clamped for a day and then Brad nailed it also. It is really solid and with the lag bolts holding tools down those too give it strength.

So what do you use to stabilize it for a solid work surface?
